Student Shura Update

The Student Shura are the student voice in Eden.  The team were selected through a democratic process, involving hustings, campaigning and an election.  All pupils were given an opportunity to apply.  Potential candidates were asked to prepare a speech to deliver in form groups, and the students filtered the candidates through voting.  The Student Shura now take a leadership role in representing the school. DfE have also commended the school on inspiring strong leadership amongst our ladies.

They are our student ambassador of Eden:

The visitors in Eden are welcomed by the student shura. They guide the visitors, they present our school and take the visitors on tours to show lessons taking place.

In addition, the Student Shura have become the voice of the Form group. They have taken ownership of their form by leading in planning, preparing, and delivering assemblies.

The Student Shura have a termly meeting with the SLT of Eden. They take this opportunity to mention what the pupils of the school like and appreciate, and also ‘air’ their concerns. The meetings SLT are minuted and the Student Shura then go back to share the feedback they get from SLT with their form groups. Our Student Shura are the voice of the student body.
